Nochmal Schopenhauer zum 3. Oktober

Ich hatte schon mehrfach den aufgeklärten absolutistischen Monarchisten Arthur Schopenhauer zum Thema Nationalstolz zitiert. Auch für den heutigen Tag hat er etwas auf Lager:

„Ich lege hier für den Fall meines Todes das Bekenntnis ab, dass ich die deutsche Nation wegen ihrer überschwänglichen Dummheit verachte und mich schäme, ihr anzugehören.“
