Rund 20.000 Menschen beteiligten sich am 19. Mai an der Berliner Demonstration für ein soziales Europa und gegen Nationalismus anläßlich der Europawahl am 26. Mai. Bundesweit gingen in 10 Städten rund 150.000 Menschen auf die Straße und auch in zwölf weiteren europäischen Städten fanden in 44 Städten Demonstrationen statt. Aufgerufen hatte ein breites Bündnis von NGOs und Parteien unter dem Motto „1 Europa für alle –“ Deine Stimme gegen Nationalismus“.
