29 AktivistInnen von Extinction Rebellion Berlin ketteten sich am 12. Juni 2019 ans Kanzleramt. Sie forderten die Bundesregierung zur Ausrufung des Klimanotstandes auf. Nach mehreren Stunden beendete die Polizei die Aktion und löste die Ketten mit einem Bolzenschneider vom Zaun des Kanzleramtes.
